Unboxing the Groundies Nova GO1 2.0 in the Limited Edition White/ Metallic SKU was a dream come true! Don’t you just love it when the pictures live up to reality.  As you lift the lid, the sleek, minimalist packaging gives you a hint that something special is inside. The moment you peel back the tissue paper, you’re greeted by that fresh shoe smell and the sight of the beautifully crafted, limited-edition design. They’re almost too stunning to wear – ALMOST, haha! The attention to detail, from the materials to the finishing touches, has really put a smile on my face. And the best part? These shoes are ready to hit the ground running (literally!).

The Groundies Nova GO1 2.0 are designed to excel in a variety of activities, offering the perfect balance of flexibility and support. Whether you’re walking, running, or doing a workout, the ultra-thin, flexible sole allows for natural movement while keeping your feet protected. Their barefoot design promotes better posture and strengthens your feet with every step, making them ideal for everything from casual strolls to more intense physical activities. Don’t quote me on this but I’m actually really tempted to keep these as my ‘smart’ barefoot shoes, almost like my ‘formal’ minimalist attire. Obvs that could all change in the space of one wrong step but right now they’re pride of place. So I’m looking forward to showing them off 😎

Aesthetically the Groundies Nova GO1 2.0 are just gorgeous. The colorways are really fun as well, lots of very feminine neutrals as well as some popping metallic ones as well. The metallic limited edition set are the ones I went for in the end. I did deliberate for ages but now realize I needn’t have because I’m already adding more to my basket as we speak. The beige/lavender option is particularly stunning IMHO.

I am soooo relieved as well because there was a niggling feeling that if they look this good, will they still feel amazing but yeah Groundies seem to have nailed it here NGL. 

8. GROUNDIES® Nova GO1 2.0 – Durability

Durability wise it’s ever so slightly early days for me to do a complete deep dive on whether these shoes will outlive me or anything like that but so far, so VERY good. The stitching feels next level and the sole is incredibly sturdy. Like I said before, I may not use these ones for any off-roading at this stage but for my daily grind they’ve proven themselves as very versatile and strong. They’ll keep up with me, that’s a good feeling.

Ultimately, if you value long-term foot health and enjoy the benefits of minimalist shoes, the Nova GO1 2.0 provides good value for money, but it’s important to weigh your personal needs and budget. If you can afford a pair I would not hesitate in saying ‘go for it!’.

I absolutely adore the Groundies Nova GO1 2.0—they’ve quickly become my go-to for effortless comfort and style.
